Janalaxmi Co-operative Bank Ltd., Nashik was established on 14 Feb, 1976 by people committed to social cause especially to provide financial help for needy and poor people. The Bank has always kept the goal of helping economically weaker section of the society and has carved a place as bank of masses and not only for classes. The bank has gained scheduled status in Feb. 2000. Bank has started its computerization in around Nineties. Bank is the pioneer in Northern Maharashtra to adopt technology based in Banking. The first total branch automation of main branch took place in 1994 since inception of the branch. During the period from 1995 to 2001, Bank has completed its computerization in all branches. Bank has completed Core Banking and all branches are on core banking. Bank is offering services like NEFT/RTGS, Authorised M.S.E.B. Bill Collection Centres, Franking Services, PAN Card application and Atal Pension Scheme for its valued customers.

Janalaxmi Co-operative Bank Ltd., Nashik was founded by Late. Madhavrao B. Patil, a great visionary and philanthropist on 14 Feb. 1976 at Nashik a place of tradition and heritage that is around 200 km away from Mumbai. The Bank has gone through the various phases of its growth trajectory over 44 years of its existence. Growth of Janalaxmi Co- operative Bank Ltd., Nashik was phenomenal, especially in between 1995 to 2001.
Social Commitment :
Bank has also actively involved to meet social challenges caused by natural calamities such as earth quake, flood victims, victims in bomb blast, drought etc. by providing fund to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Bank has given Bank Guarantee to the students who wish to go abroad for higher education.

Thanks to these strong efforts over 44 years after its inception, the Bank had gained strong foundation in terms of its membership, resources, assets and profits. By 1980, the Bank was fulfilling all the banking needs of its customers. During the late nineties, the Bank grew from strength to strength. The Bank had established 19 branches within the city of Nashik and 4 outside of Nashik (2 at Mumbai, 1 at Pune, and Malegaon). Last two decades the Bank has witnessed a steady growth in the business. The bank had a network of 23 Branches, 2 Extension Counters with branch computerization covering 4 cities. The Bank has been providing added services to its customers like NEFT/RTGS, Franking services, M.S.E.B. Bill and PAN Card application, Atal Pension Scheme. Bank has gained scheduled status in Feb. 2000. The beginning of the 21st Century has been a giant leap forward for the Bank. Bank chosen a path of growth and our pace of growth accelerated.
